Here is a presentation of what kind of basic supplies you need to make your own scrapbooking page and
what to think of when you use paper, album and scrapbooking decorations.

Journal: No scrapbooking page is complete without some kind of text. The easiest way to add text to your scrapbooking project is simply to save some space beside or under your photo and write a comment to the photo. You can also add a short poem or old saying to create an atmosphere around the pictures. Poems and old sayings can be found on the net or even better head to the nearest library. Clever things to add are the date of the occasions and, if you like, a short note of when the scrapbooking were done (imagine your grandchildren in awe over the fact that granny scrapped their first birthday in 2009! That was like seventy years ago, did the even have computers and teletransportation by then?)

Albums: When you have finished your scrapbooking page, you will need an album to put the scrapbooking page in. Albums come in different sizes and numbers of pages. Before you start your scrapbooking project it is wise to plan ahead. Think about what you want to scrap and if there is a specific theme to your scrapbooking project. Popular and common scrapbooking themes are for example: wedding, baby, or family history scrapbooking projects. Choose your scrapbooking album and layout style depending on your theme.

Scrapbooking decorations: tags, ribbons, buttons, stickers, clip art graphic, cut outs and sewn stitches are wonderful adornments to make your scrapbooking album even more extraordinary. You can use almost everything as long as it is decorative and pretty and you can do a lot of scrapbooking decorations by recycling paper from your frames and background, for example scrapbooking tags and embellished flower decorations and so on.
